Green School Committee
All teachers are members of the Green School Application Committee, including Mrs. Jessica Fratz (1st/2nd grade teacher & principal), Mrs. Erica Foley (3rd-5th grade teacher), Mrs. Liz Gilbert (6th-8th grade teacher), and Mrs. Arlene Lantz (Math Resource Teacher). Staff members reviewed the application process and worked on the application during staff meetings held January 13, 2014 and February 24, 2014. Agendas are included below.
Professional Development in Environmental Education
MSP Environmental Literacy and Animal Behavior Academy
Mrs. Liz Gilbert, 6th-8th grade teacher, participated in the MSP Environmental Literacy and Animal Behavior Academy through Mary Baldwin College and the Garrett County Board of Education on August 4-9, 2013. She completed the requirements for graduate credit. The agenda is included below.
"Explore and Restore Your Schoolshed" Professional Development, October 2013
Mrs. Gilbert also attended the "Explore and Restore Your Schoolshed" Teacher Professional Development on October 28, 2013, at Claud E. Kitchens Outdoor School at Fairview in Clear Spring, Maryland. The agenda is included below.

Mrs. Erica Foley, 3rd-5th grade teacher, participated in a PIERS training session Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Deep Creek Lake Discovery Center.
